Mrs. Dora Tai Tang, known to many as Auntie Dora, was awarded full Tuition Wavier Scholarships throughout her academic study in America, majoring in Medical Technology at the State University of New York in Albany, and post-graduate study in Immunology at the Albany Medical School where she also received a Fellowship.
Before founding the DOORS Method in 1986, Auntie Dora had worked in an immunology laboratory in Canada, in various medical research at the New York State Health Department in America and at the Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong, then as the diagnostic-hospital sales and marketing manager with Johnson & Johnson, and as the ‘Scientific Officer’ (SO) running the prominent Prenatal Diagnostic Laboratory in association with The University of Hong Kong Obstetrics & Gynaecology Unit for the Hong Kong Medical and Health Department till end of 1984.
被外界親切地稱為Auntie Dora 的Mrs. Dora Tai Tang,於美國紐約奧爾巴尼州立大學 (State University of New York in Albany) 主修醫學技術 (Medical Technology) ,在美國學術研讀期間獲得全額獎學金;其後在奧爾巴尼醫學院 (Albany Medical School) 攻讀免疫學 (Immunology) 研究生課程時,再獲取得另一獎學金。
在1986年研發 DOORS Method 前,Auntie Dora曾在加拿大免疫科實驗室 工作,及在美國紐約州衞生署和香港瑪麗醫院從事醫學研究,之後在香港莊生公司 (現為強生)從事市場推廣與醫療銷售經理;最後應邀負責香港醫務衛生局管理香港大學產科及婦科學系關聯的產前診斷實驗室 擔任科學主管 官員,直至1984年底。
